It looks like I have been away for a while……. life has been busy, with changing jobs, looking after the two pixies and of course coming up with new ideas for Cricket Teas. We have had a very busy season and I now realise I should’ve come back to this blog at the start of the season and not with one game left of the season to go!
All the home games are now complete at Holmbush Park CC and I have really experimented this season with the teas.
I have made the following:
- Individual Key Lime Pies
- Individual Lemon and Ginger Cheesecakes (Deconstructed)
- Banana Loaf with Dark Choc Pieces
- Choux Buns filled with fresh Strawberries and Cream, topped with Chocolate
- Mozzarella and Sundried Tomato Mini Pies
- Individual Eton Mess
- Lemon Cake (my Favorite and classic)
- Vanilla Cupcakes
- Sandwiches (of course)
- Crisps (Clearly bought)
- Brownies (another staple of mine and a favourite to make too)
- As well as a huge amount of Pizzas.
The Pixies have been fantastic and this season has let me just get on with it, but I suppose that is because they are a year older and they are more interested in their Ballet and the dreaded KidsYouTube! I have also really enjoyed the baking this season as I have been able to show a few more skills and now I have decided it is the right time to pick this up again I can start to cook more and share with my friends and family.
Already this damp bank holiday weekend I have made, Key Lime Pie something I keep making, but its sooooo nice……. I have also made Banana and Chocolate loaf for my neighbours as they always cut our lawn at the front, which is so lovely of them and I have made a New York Baked Cheesecake and I have not made one of these for ages. This is for my amazing stepdad’s birthday and I know cheesecake is his favourite. I will be posting the recipe soon, but in the meantime have a great Bank Holiday Monday evening
